For over 20 years, Attorney Hamm has provided strong client centered representation in her litigation, mediation and transactional law practice. Attorney Hamm is managing partner of Hamm & Associates, LLP and is licensed to practice in all courts of the State of New York as well as United States Federal Court Western District of New York and United States Tax Court.
Attorney Hamm’s background includes law, not for profit service and public policy. A graduate of Albany Law School of Union University, Albany, New York, Attorney Hamm holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration as well as Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany. Ms. Hamm has experience working in the public sector as well as the nonprofit sector including: the New York State Department of Health Department of Administration, Albany; Meals on Wheels of Chemung County Board of Directors from 2004-2014; six years as a part time Public Defender for Chemung County; four years on Pine City Sportsman’s Club Board of Directors; Chemung County Bar Association President for 2012; and a former Delegate to the New York State Bar Association.
Attorney Hamm has extensive experience in domestic relations law, family law, commercial law and criminal defense litigation. She achieves client goals by utilizing negotiation when appropriate, and tireless litigation when necessary. Especially with the reduction in court hours and budget cutbacks which have made the traditional litigation process more lengthy and expensive than ever, mediation and arbitration are the chosen avenues to resolve disputes fairly and more timely. As a former member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the New York State Bar Association and having specialized training in Commercial Arbitration, Attorney Hamm offers a unique skill set to her clients in resolving disputes in a wide variety of substantive legal fields.
